E.l.f Highlighter 'Blush Gems' Review

Hey lovely ladies! How are you all? Another review for you,This time it’s a highlighter. Yayy!! :P Highlighters are my weakness. I am always in search for something that gives a radiant glow and does not have much sparkle to it.I always wanted to try a baked highlighter like the Mac Mineralize Skin Finish, but who'd like to spend $30 for a product when you get an exact dupe is 3$? Atleast not I. So I bought this one at $3 to try out and share with you guys.
Product Description:
Create a radiant glow with this illuminating powder that highlights the skin with a sheer wash of shimmering color. Infused with Vitamin E, Jojoba, Sunflower, Apricot and Grape to nourish and hydrate the skin. The long-lasting baked shimmering color can be applied wet for a vibrant effect or dry for sheer pigmentation.
Packaging:
The elf baked highlighter comes in a black plastic case with a clear lid. Packaging is simple and pretty sturdy. Size is smaller size than other highlighters I know of, but nonetheless, it’s very lightweight and easy to carry.
My views:
ELF Studio Baked Highlighter comes in three shades – Moonlight Pearls, Pink Diamonds and Blush Gems. Both Moonlight Pearls and Pink Diamonds appeared to have a silver and pink sheen to them, whereas Blush Gems seemed to be more on the champagne side. I picked up Blush Gems as it seemed to be the best for my NC-30 skintone.
Blush Gems is a very light brown champagne color. There is no pink to it and no glitter. It gives a beautiful soft white flesh toned sheen. It is decently pigmented. Like many baked products, it does have a dry texture but is still workable and usable. The E.L.F. website also says that you can use it wet but I still have yet to use it that way. I am falling in love with this product because it is not too shimmery to the point where your face looks like a disco ball. It's more of a sheen than a shimmer especially when blended out.
The highlighter has a smooth velvety texture. It is not at all powdery or chalky. Blends easily and does not look unnatural on the skin. The pigmentation is amazing. The color looks gorgeous and has a beautiful sheen to it. Looks different at different angles (check out the swatch). Gives a natural, vibrant glow to the face. However, it is hard to get product on the brush. I need to swipe the brush or the fingers very hard into the compact to get the highlighter on. May be this is intentional as lot of product in one swipe can make you look over the top.It is a very finely milled baked product that looks super natural when applied, no chunky glitters or sparkles! The finish it provides isn't metallic, it's more of a light shimmery glow.
I think this colour is more universal than the other two (Moonlight Pearls and Pink Diamonds), It will show up on almost all skin tones.well pigmented, but can be easily sheered out for those looking for a more subtle effect.
This highlighter is just perfect for my yellow under toned complexion ,Just beautiful!
My Recommendation: I've read online that this highlighter is a great dupe for the Mac MSF in 'Soft and gentle'. So if you want to try soft and gentle but are terrified of the $30 price tag, 'Blush Gems' at $3 is the way to go.I think that it is a great product for the price. The only thing that can be improved is the packaging, otherwise it's a perfect highlighter. Highly Recommended!!!

  33. This highlighter is a bomb! I did my makeup course by Lina, who trains best makeup classes London , after doing this course I bought many items from this brand. Usually, I bought a lot of things to improve my skill. I am so in love with this brand, that I can not explain you.
