The Body Shop Black Musk Eau De Parfum - Review & Photos

Sweet on the outside
Fierce on the inside!

That's how The Body Shop defined their newly launched 'Black Musk'
Let's go ahead and unveil the mysterious elements of this perfume :)
Product Description:Black Musk is a mix of our dark and powerful cruelty-free musk, wrapped in sweet and juicy notes that make this scent hard to resist. It has been announced as the darkest and the most sensual of all the scents of The Body Shop.
Packaging: The packaging is simple and elegant!50 ml Black Musk comes in cylindrical bottle in black and fuchsia pink packaging, which refers to the perfume as being fierce and sweet both. The size of this bottle is really good for travelling. It's neither very large nor too small.
Top Notes: Bambinella Pear - a tiny pink blushed pear that only grows in Malta.
Heart Notes: Liquorice Root.
Base Notes: Black Vanilla.
My Views: The fragrance is defined as "Sweet on the outside. Fierce on the inside". It's definitely a sweet on the outside scent, but not overwhelming sweet. It's subtle, sweet, fresh yet warm. Black vanilla being in the base notes, give that "oomph" sweet factor but not making it too sweet to get onto the anti-sweet fragrance person. The fragrance also contains stimulating liquorice root with hint of vanilla. It does have a tantalizing appeal yet it lacks the fierceness that is expected, however, still delightful, smooth and spicy.

I'm obsessed with floral and sweet scents. I was so excited when I get to know that Black Musk has three different notes and all three are very unusual and unique.I sprayed a little on my wrist and rubbed it with the other one, the aroma that I inhaled was sweet, but it only lasted for a few minutes, and then it turned into something spicy. As I’ve stated above, the Black Musk is made up of 3 different notes; the top notes are of Bambinella Pear, Pepper and Bergamot. It must be something unique as the scent is extremely sweet and mouth-watering. The middle notes, which are called the heart notes are of Liquorice Root and Heliotrope. Furthermore, the base notes are of Black Vanilla and Black Musk.
For me, Black Musk is a very winter appropriate scent! It's musky aroma makes you feel cozy and warm & I think its the best feeling to have on a wintry night. When you instantly smell it after application, you smell the fierce woody scent and as it settles, it is more musky, sweet & warm. The composition of the fragrance is not overwhelming which I like. The fragrance family is oriental.
As for the lasting power, I wore this perfume for almost 6 hours and it was still as good as freshly applied, which is pretty impressive!

Price & Availability: This perfume is available in a 20ml perfume oil version, a 50 ml Eau De Parfum & a 60ml Eau de Toilette. 6. The most common method of all perfume spraying techniques is to dab the perfume on pressure points. When applying perfume, you want to focus on dabbing it on your inner wrists and neck, which are some of the warmest parts of your body. Parfum Mandarina Duck
