My New Winter Skincare Regime With The Body Shop Oils Of Life Skincare Range - Product Reviews & Photos

Winters are approaching and it's the time of year when we change our skincare regime to suit the colder season. My skin becomes super dry in winters so I always opt for extra rich moisturisers and facial oils to keep my skin soft and supple. Though I was pretty satisfied with my previous skincare routine (here) still I was planning to try something different this winter.I come to know about the new Oils of Life skincare range from The Body Shop lately which really fascinated me so I picked up some products and started using them. The range has 4 items. 2 moisturisers (one for oily/combo, one for normal/dry), an essence lotion and a facial oil. I chose Intensely Revitalising Essence lotion, Facial Oil and Gel Cream and after one week of regular use, today I'm going to post the details of these products and their performance.
Product Description: Our new Intensely Revitalising Oils of Life Collection contains 3 precious seed oils: black cumin seed oil, camellia seed oil and rosehip seed oil. Infused into highly-sensorial textures, this skincare collection intensely revitalises skin and revives radiance.

Packaging: The gorgeous black and gold packaging of this range feels very autumnal and is well suited to the products they contain. They feel high end and expensive. Most of the products come in a fine plastic packaging , which I love as you don't have to be scared of smashing or breaking anything. Lids close pretty tight which make the products travel friendly as well!

Oils of Life Intensely Revitalising Essence Lotion : Oils of Life Intensely Revitalising Essence Lotion is  a bi-phase lotion which means
It's a combination of oil and water. It hydrates and nourishes the skin beautifully. It is completely non-greasy and absorbs into the skin instantly.
The basic purpose of this product is to help remove any cleanser residue and prep the skin for the other products. It has a super lightweight formula which absorbs quickly and can be massaged in for optimum results. You can use it just like your regular toner, apply it on your skin with a cotton pad after cleansing to remove the last traces of dirt and cleanser. This lotion is a combination of  strong floral and spicy scent which reminds me of the fragrance of rose water.
Oils of Life Intensely Revitalising Facial Oil: I love facial oils! They’re a firm part of my daily skincare routine. I'm using Triology rose hip oil since almost  two 2 years and honestly that's my favorite but I was really keen to try this oil out when I saw it and I wasn't disappointed with this product either.
This oil is a blend of essential oils, to replenish and deeply nourish the skin. The three main oils in all of the Oils of Life products are; black cumin seed, camellia oil and rosehip oil. However, the Revitalising Facial Oil also contains a blend of another seven essential oils (2 types of lavender, rosemary, orange peel, geranium, camomile and marjoram leaf) and is 99% natural origin.
I use a couple of drops, heat them up on my hands and give my face a nice massage while applying this. It initially feels a bit greasy but it sinks in quite quick leaving hydrated, comfortable skin. It's a mixture of so many oils, that have all been hand sourced and pressed, to ensure the purest oil was provided for each product. You only need 2 drops, maybe even 1 if you want to mix it with another product such as a moisturiser, so it will last a very long time.

Oils of Life Intensely Revitalising Gel Cream : Intensely Revitalising Cream has a very light weight gel type consistency. It instantly melts onto the face, leaving a light and comfortable finish without a greasy feel.I use this gel cream twice a day and it works perfectly on my dry / combination skin.
As with all the products, the gel cream is also infused with the 3 seed oils outlined above and it also has illuminating micro-pearls. These impart a very delicate glow to the skin, helping to give it a healthy and revitalised look. I really like the feel of this on my skin, it sinks in immediately, feels refreshing and prepares my skin nicely for makeup. It doesn’t leave any residue and my skin feels thoroughly moisturised. It appears visibly smoother and revived with radiance. A great moisturiser for most skin types and ages!
MY NEW WINTER SKINCARE REGIME
How I use Oils of Life products in my routine is mentioned below. You can change them according to your skin type and skin concerns. These products can be used together or alone. It's completely up to you!

Start by cleansing your face with your favorite cleanser. Next, take the Intensely Revitalising Essence Lotion and spread a little quantity on your face. You can apply it with your fingers or cotton pads. This unique oil is a perfect first step after cleansing to prepare and activate your skin for the next steps of the routine. It removes anything that the cleanser may have left behind and leaves skin clean and fresh. Now depending upon your skin type or preference, choose either the Intensely Revitalising Cream or Intensely Revitalising Gel Cream. I personally prefer the lightweight texture of the Gel Cream which melts into the skin without any residue, but the traditional Cream has just a slightly richer texture which makes it great to use as a night time moisturising cream. Last but not the least, add a few drops of the Intensely Revitalising Facial Oil to the palm of your hand and slightly warm it up by rubbing your palms together. Now gently dab the oil onto your face with your hands, or massage it in for an even more relaxing experience and you're done! :)

This range is ideal for all ages and skin types, the Oils of Life range is something that you are going to want to consider investing in as part of your winter skincare this year. It contain perfect products which will suit almost everybody and are so winter appropriate. Truly makes your skin hydrated and youthful in winters. I can see a visible difference in my skin in a week. It became really soft and plump. So yes, Now I can confidently say 'IT'S NOT A MIRACLE, BUT IT'S CLOSE'

My Recommendation: Oils of Life range really does what it promises. It certainly makes skincare simple and quick for everyone. Every product is amazing on its own and all mixed together is a wonderful mix of skin treats.Above all, they suit every skin type. Perfect skincare range for the upcoming harsh months!
