Using a
Primer before applying your foundation is important for various reasons. It
works as a barrier between our skin and foundation, it helps our makeup to stay
longer, even out our skin texture which further helps the foundation glides
more smoothly & evenly. Primer also comes in many textures and formulas,
some of them appears like lotion/cream, some provide little bit coverage too
while others are transparent with velvety texture and goes clear on skin. I
personally prefer clear primers. In this post I am going to review about
Palladio herbal foundation primer.
Product
Description: Reduce the appearance of fine lines and
pores with this velvety, lightweight formula. Enriched with Aloe Vera and
Chamomile, Palladio Herbal Foundation Primer helps prevent the loss of
hydration throughout the day, which keeps the skin looking young and fresh.
Wear alone or beneath foundation, for a longer-lasting makeup application. The
unique, slick texture creates a flawless canvas, and prevents liquids from
setting into imperfections. Results can be seen immediately.
My Views: The primer comes in .674fl
oz/20ml, squeezable tube. The bottle itself is clear and silver plastic. The
cap twists and clicks into place. I think it's pretty much a standard cosmetic
tube.I actually like it.It's a clear gel-like formula. When applied to the
face, it goes on easily and feels very silky when being rubbed/patted in. It
does come across as if it would have silicone in it, but it does not. There is
no oily residue left over either. It sets quickly, not quit to a matte
finish, but somewhere between matte and dewy.
The
primer blends easily into the skin and is absorbed within seconds. If you
touch your skin after applying it you can actually feel that your skin is
smoother. I'm not sure what it is in the product, but you cannot feel any
scars. I usually wait a few minutes before I apply foundation, but as I said
the primer is absorbed almost instantly so that may not even be necessary.
Another thing I really love about this foundation is that it helps keep your
skin hydrated and supple looking, giving you an almost youthful radiance. I
think that could be credited to the Aloe Vera as well as the traces of
Chamomile in the primer.
My
Recommendation: This primer is fantastic; it glides on smoothly and blends my
foundation seamlessly. Works wonderfully with every foundation and prolong the
life of my foundation. I will re-purchase again for sure. Do try it!
