Hello dolls, if you
remember, I posted first impressions of Shades by Gal Cosmetics probably a
month back. As promised I am here with the detailed review of one of their
products and these are Super gel Liner pencils by Shades by Gal
Cosmetics.
Packaging: Shades by Gals Super Gel liners are 5
inches sleek pencils in black packaging with white logo. There is a color strip
on the other side of the pencil that shows the color which is
very convenient. These can be sharpen easily with any sharpener. The three shades that I got are Ivy, Noble and Florentine. Lets discuss the
shades and then I’ll share my views about the quality of these Super Gel
liners.
Noble : Noble is a gorgeous vibrant blue shade which looks beautiful on the lids. You can use it as a liner or apply it like an eyeshadow. |
Florentine: Love this beautiful purple shade. It can be mixed and matched with other bright shades for different makeup looks. |
Ivy : Ivy is a brown black shade with intense pigmentation. It can be used on waterline and is also great for the smokey eye look. |
My Views:
The pencils are buttery soft, glide
on with no tugging or pulling or trouble whatsoever. Right after application
you have some time to blend or smudge if you want to, and after a few minutes
they set in and stay for hours. This makes them great as a base for shadow, or
in place of eye shadow.
It's perfect to fill your lid with or blend with your finger. These gel pencils
are a great addition to your quick makeup routine, for sure.
You can use them both on the lids and waterline. They won't irritate you eyes at all. They are intense. The formula is very nice. Pigmentation and color payoff is amazing! You have to use makeup remover to remove these.
Price & Availability: Price is $15.99 for a single pencil and you can get them online here.
I love how they apply on eyes and stay on for hours. I tried them on my
sister's eyes without any primer or eye shadow base. She has oily skin and
her eyelids are extremely oily. These stayed on her eyes for 6 hours straight
without fading. After six hours I felt slight budging.
You can use them both on the lids and waterline. They won't irritate you eyes at all. They are intense. The formula is very nice. Pigmentation and color payoff is amazing! You have to use makeup remover to remove these.
My
Recommendation: They only thing that disappointed me is the price
tag. These are not budget friendly. I feel you can get same quality stuff in
alot cheaper price. Any how If you aren’t bothered by the price and you really
want something that stays on your eyes and doesn't budge or smudge
all day then try out these gel liner pencils. You’ll be blown away
by the quality.

The purple one is my favorite. These liners do last long but the price is a bit high for the quality.
