L’Oreal Paris Hair Expertise Oil Replacement Cream - Review & Photos

 The world’s renowned beauty brand L’Oreal launched a new hair care product that claims itself to be an oil replacement cream. L’Oreal Paris Hair Expertise Oil Replacement Cream is a hair oil product in the cream form. I was quite tempted to try this because who wouldn’t want to simplify the tiring and time taking oiling session and then the whole chip chip scenario? For reference, My hair are super dry and damaged. So the results below are my personal experience with dry and damaged hair.

Packaging: The product comes in a large golden tube with a black brown flip top cap.All the details about product, usage, ingredients are mentioned on the tube which is a great thing. Since the packaging is bulky, I am not really sure if it can be carried in your travel bag. 

Product Description: Innovation: L'Oreal Laboratories have created our first oil replacement cream infused with 6 precious nutritive oils - Argan, Olive, Almond, Coconut, Jojoba and Camelina.

It melts into the scalp and hair to deliver nourishment without hassle:
- Non greasy, non sticky, no stains
- Doesn't weigh hair down
- Leaves an alluring fragrance

My Views: I have been oiling my hair since childhood. However its pretty difficult to stick to regular hair oiling now because of my really hectic schedule. I work, I blog and I have a little baby who keeps me on my knees all the time, so I was looking for a hassle free product that I can just slather on my hair and get good results. I got L'Oreal Paris Hair Expertise Oil Replacement Cream in my mail lately, which is something totally new to me. I never used any product of this sort before,  So I was  pretty excited to try it out and see if it works for me or not.

Speaking of the product, the first thing I noticed was the fragrance. It has extremely mild smell that is really very pleasant. The fragrance is not overpowering and your hair strands smells of this wonderful fragrance for at least 2 days.

Coming to the ingredients, This cream contains mineral oil, coconut oil, olive oil, argan oil, camelina oil, jojoba oil, and sweet almond oil. It  looks like our regular conditioner, very soft and smooth in texture, all you have to do is take out this from the tube in small potion and apply it in your hair.The texture is a little thin and runny yet it will not drip. It melts right in your palm. On the scalp and hair, it is easy to spread around and thus makes application effortless. The product absorbs immediately in to the hair lengths and tips. It feels wet on application and within 2 - 3 minutes gets completely absorbed. Hair does not feel even the slightest bit oily or greasy.

There are three ways of using this product:

- Massage on scalp and hair, leave it overnight for intense nourishment.

- Leave on for 30 minutes before shampooing and rinsing off.

- Apply on lengths and tips after shampooing.

Overnight Therapy: Applying it overnight gives smooth, silky and super soft hair the next day. It doesn't feel heavy or greasy on hair. Also, its extremely light weight texture won't let you think that you have something on your hair. My hair feels repaired and gorgeous using this overnight and this is actually the best therapy that gives 100% results with single application.

Before Shampoo: It is the best and the easiest way to use this cream. You just need to apply it before 30 minutes and then washed off. This suits me the best, I apply it all over my hair and then do my other work meanwhile, brushing, taking out clothes to wear, etc etc and no matter if it takes exact 30 mins or not, I just go and take bath. The cream works quite well, in this technique also. Post wash, it gives super soft and manageable hair. It has perfect balanced formula that acts as hair oil and keeps hair soft after shampoo and remains the same all day long.

After shampoo: It can be used as a leave-in-cream or conditioner. It provides silky texture without making hair oily or anything of that sort. The time when my hair feels life less and dull, I prefer this technique. The cream gets absorbed within 5 to 10 minutes and makes my hair look instantly soft and smooth. 

I tried all the above mentioned methods and this cream works amazing in all the techniques. I mostly prefer the before shampoo technique to use it. I feel leaving just 30 minutes can be too short a time so I prefer at least 2 hours after which I wash off as usual.Once washed and towel dried, you can feel the smoothness in your hair. Run your fingers, and you will feel how easily fingers slip in between your tresses. It nourishes the hair and makes them lustrous and shiny, This cream keeps my hair soft, smooth and manageable for whole day.After the wash, my hair was smooth and soft and was smelling divine. 

My Recommendation:  When you are not in the mood of using the traditional method of heavy oiling on your scalp and hair, L’Oreal Paris Hair Expertise Oil Replacement Cream can be a good substitute to keep you in the flow of your hair care routine. Give this product a try,  you will surely like it for its texture, melting nature, hair smoothing effect, fragrance and the ease of usage - I totally recomemned!
